Our postcards range from Penny postcards in the 1880s to the 1920s and include many themes, such as holidays, transportation, scenic views of towns, birthdays and other special occasions.
Trade cards were an early form of advertising used from the early 1870s until about 1900. Often the cards had a blank space on the front for the business to print their information. There were often sets of cards from a particular business, such as a grocery retailer. They might stick one in your bag and you could return to their store in order to complete the set.
